Lukas Jorgensen

Man, I am tired. Here is Lukas, he has a portrait up earlier, remember?

For your convenience

Closeups for the busy viewer:

Whiplash Doesn't Even Describe It.

Poor Amus crashed his escape pod on a remote desert of Otaeres. The twin planet there has an image of Saturn's moon Titan in it, though I painted over it mostly. If you have never heard of the Huygens Probe which landed on Titan in 2005, I highly suggest you look it up. Amazing stuff.

The antagonist for my concept assignment. He's a bounty hunter and all. Can't you tell?

Here's Lookin' at You, Kid

Here's a closeup of old Amus, for those of you who don't have time to click on small images to see larger images, which there is nothing wrong with.

Amus Crosby, Robotics Engineer

Amus, hapless shill caught up in a conspiracy to assassinate government opposition members.... in space. Everything is better in space.

What a sad sad room.

more concept for class. this is a holding cell containing the main character who has basically doomed a rogue colony by alerting earth to its presence.

I drew my Leopard Gecko from a picture on my wife's cell phone during church.

Space Man

Concept Piece for the previously mentioned storyline, belongs to the main character who is marooned on Otaeres, a distant colony formerly belonging to Earth.

This is a development piece for my class. His name is Lukas, and he is a bounty hunter who refuses to kill unless in self defense. Sounds hard, I know, but he's experienced. Don't you worry about him.

Loki, the Leopard Gecko

I just got a new Leopard Gecko. She is just a little baby (my wife insists its a girl).

She's extremely fun to feed. As soon as she sees her pray, which is either a cricket or a meal worm, she raises up on her legs a bit into a power stance, and her head snaps to look in the direction the motion came from. Then she just waits until it comes closer, or very slowly creeps toward it.

Just before she strikes, she leans back just a bit, the end of her tail wiggles almost like a rattle snake, and she lunges her body open-mouthed to ensnare the hapless creature. She presses the animal into the floor of her cage, occasionally jerking her head and biting down until it is dead, then swallows it whole.

Along with the red eared slider turtle Michaelangelo, and the vacuumous beagle Xander, our house is now officially a zoo.

BOOOSSHWWKKKKGGGGGHHHHHHHH is what an explosion sounds like.

These are EFX animation pencil tests for my Illusion of Life class. I had a lot of fun doing them, and I think I might do more for fun. I have never made so many sound effects in my life. You know, when the little kids are playing with action figures and open their lips and gnash their teeth together and make that booosshhhkkkkgghhkkkkk sound in the back of their throat to sound like something is blowing up or something is hitting something else with great force? That was me for the past couple weeks, only I was playing with a peg bar.
